While this year's elegant "Ten Years of Freedom" fly-in is hardly over, we have already sworn to out-do ourselves next spring. We will meet our friends and neighbors at the beautiful Ramada Inn Pocono's in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. This hotel is nestled in the scenic mountains of northeast Pennsylvania near the intersection of Pennsylvania Turnpike (northeast extension or I-476) and Interstate 80. Nestled in the woods, this handsome hostelry offers spacious guest rooms, a larger  registration and dance area, two restaurants and a lounge. There is a bus stop just a mile and a half from the hotel (the Martz station), so our New York visitors and Philadelphia dancers should be able to get back and forth without a car. The hotel boasts a heated indoor swimming pool in the shape of a snowman, saunas and nature trails. There's lots to do in the area, so please feel free to explore when you're not busy dancing! Please check out "places" below to find an Adobe Acrobat file on places to dine, worship and do various other things in the area of our fly-in. And look at the pictures to get an essence of what there is to do for recreation. Don't forget to click on all the links for the full tour!

Note the snowperson shaped pool. It's indoors, it's heated and it will be open for us. Click on the photo of the pool for more information about the Pocono's region of Pennsylvania (this is the "official" web site of the region) This is the Garden Terrace restaurant in the hotel. There is a buffet breakfast on Saturday and a buffet brunch on Sunday included in the price of registration, and both will take place here! And since the restaurant overlooks the pool, so you might catch a glimpse of Mr./Ms. Right in a revealing outfit There is a lot of outdoor activity in the Pocono's. It might be a bit chilly for water sports like canoeing or even for horseback riding, but they are available in the region. And there is great hiking and sight-seeing as well. Click the pic for another Pocono's info site Here's the verdant setting of our next fly-in. The rolling hills are attractive, and we might be there for flowering-tree season. Click on the picture for a 2 page summary of what to do in the Pocono's (including information about gay and lesbian venues)
